CBD not natural for bats
ONCE again an uninformed commentator is trying to assert that the flying-fox colony is a long standing natural occurrence in the Cairns CBD library precinct.
In fact, the colony has only moved there in relatively recent times.
There are tens of thousands of hectares of natural flying-fox habitat surrounding Cairns, which is not close to humans.
The catch for flying foxes is that this natural environment also has their natural predators and irritants such as scrub pythons and green ants.
The flying foxes and the people of our city would be better off if these animals lived in their natural forest environment.
There could even be an added bonus if some entrepreneur was running tours for those tourists willing to risk lyssavirus to visit the colony. Bob Norman, Redlynch
I quite clearly laid out his agenda and what he has accomplished since becoming President.

After all, Mexico has a wall on their southern border, why can’t the US?
