THE Rocky Horror Picture Show has sensationally dumped star Craig McLachlan just four days out from Adelaide opening night in the wake of allegations of sexual assault, harassment and bullying.
Last night, production company John Frost Organisation distanced itself from the alleged inappropriate behaviour involving female co-stars.
“We have mutually agreed that it is not appropriate for him to continue in the current production of the show,” the company said.
Channel Seven and production company December Media have also suspended production on McLachlan’s show The Dr Blake Mysteries.
December Media released a statement last night saying the production would be halted to allow “due process”.
Revelations against the Gold Logie winner came to light this week with members of the 2014 production of Rocky Horror accusing him of groping, kissing and exposing himself to women and making lewd comments.
Co-stars Erika Heynatz and Angela Scundi have gone to Victorian police with their accusations and have received legal advice.
Yesterday Victorian Police confirmed they were investigating.
McLachlan (right) has denied any wrongdoing, saying his alleged victims have made up the accusations to further their own careers.
