With the Cairns Port Authority attracting a record number of cruise ships into Cairns, why the need for widening and dredging a harbour with a ecosystem that is already under pollution stress? The future of inlet recreational and charter fishing, crabbing, boating and the local businesses that supply and support those activities are at risk.
