It was a great roll out on Sunday for the 18 Hole Stroke event held at RMCC. Junior Prudence Wright had her best game to date blitzing the field with 93 gross / 69 nett to beat all the lads. Runner Up was Dylan Williams 75 nett. Nearest to pins went to Shane Soper #6 & Jim Robinson #8. Congratulations Prudence on your best game to date & to all other competitors. Last Wednesday’s Chook Comp was rained out. Weather permitting there is a 9 Hole Stroke Play this Wednesday, teeing off from 8am. Hire clubs / buggies are available. RMCC welcome anyone to drop in & have a game. The course is open to Social players for $10. A reminder that Membership fees are now due. New members are most welcome, please contact the Secretary Tarnia Wright for membership details. With Easter fast approaching RMCC have a raffle, our lovely volunteers are outside the Highland Bakery in Ravenshoe on Saturday mornings to purchase tickets alternately tickets are available at the club house. Junior Golf kicked off this week & a great turn out in less than ideal conditions. Cairns Golf World Monthly Medal Saturday Results (Tee off times 730am & 12pm) An exceptional turnout for our Monthly medal. Over 27 players and some going for handicap. The scoring was electric with Tremmie finding a lot of form over the last 2 weeks to take out back to back victories. Well done Tremmie & great to see you hitting some great golf. Thanks to everyone who helped out, sorting clubs, resizing clubs, making pizza’s, coaching etc. The kids had a blast & we hope to see more children next week if the weather plays the game. Also, thanks to the mums and dads who braved the elements to bring the kids out to try out golf. There was some great shots hit today, with some great skills on show. This week was about seeing how the skill levels of the kids were. Next week we’ll move the kids into groups based on their ability, so we can start planning getting kids involved in a junior comp that we will also launch over the next couple of months.
