Bush discovery is naturally great

YEAR 3 Camp was the best. For our camp we went to Lake Tinaroo.

We were in four groups called the Barramundis, the Pelicans, the Turtles and the Redclaws. Our group was called the Redclaws.

Our first activity was team challenges. We did an activity where we had to fit on a mat that got smaller and smaller and we had to brainstorm how we could all fit on to it.

We also did bush discovery, where we got to collect things from nature and make them into bush art. Our group made a peacock. After that, we did lake discovery, where we got to paddle in a canoe and find tadpoles and other creatures beside the lake.

Our last activity was trust activities, where we had to lead a partner wearing a blindfold around a course.

I led around our principal Paul Sjogren and it was amazing.

On the last day, we did a solo where we had to sit on a mat for 30 minutes and think and write.

In Year 9, we will do a solo all day.

On camp, we had an amazing cook named Juli.

Some of the food that I enjoyed were Juli’s muesli bars, homemade dips, frozen oranges and lasagne.

On our last night, we had a campfire where we sang songs and did body actions.

Overall, the camp was a great experience and I think everyone should go on camp, try new things (like eating beetroot) along with making new friends.
