A BELOVED grandmother, who was accidentally run over and killed by her own partner at an Atherton shopping centre, is being remembered as “caring and quiet”.

Grieving friends and family have left flowers and messages along the fence at Atherton Square carpark in tribute to Innot Hot Springs woman Eileen Bolton, who died in the tragic accident last Tuesday.

Daughter Veronica Cipolla of Mareeba said her mother would be remembered as a loving woman who “never spoke a bad word against anyone”.

“Mum was a caring and quiet lady,” she said.

“She was an avid churchgoer in Ravenshoe and she always made sure to keep in touch with her four children, Alice, Matthew, Laurena and myself.

“Our family is all struggling to come to grips with her loss and I’d like to thank everyone who has left flowers at mum’s memorial and reached out with kind words. “She will be sadly missed.” Mrs Cipolla said her mother’s partner had been overcome with grief since the accident.

The 72-year-old grandmother had been visiting Atherton Square to do some grocery shopping when she was struck in the carpark about 2.30pm.
