Queensland

Showers, rain areas and storms with possible heavy falls will continue over the northern tropics, especially about the North Tropical Coast and eastern Gulf Country. Showers should persist over the central and east tropical coasts with possible isolated storms. The slight to medium chance of showers about the east coast south of Mackay with some possible storms. Slight to medium chance of showers and storms over the southern and southeast interior. Fine and mostly sunny in the far southwest. Moderate to fresh northeast to southeaste­rly winds about the central and southern tropics, strong and gusty at times, especially about the southeast Gulf coast. Moderate west to northweste­rly about the northern tropics. Moderate south to southeaste­rly winds in the far southwest. Slight to moderate northeast to southeaste­rly winds elsewhere.

North Tropical Coast & Tablelands

Cloudy. Very high (95%) chance of showers and rain areas. The chance of a storm. Heavy falls possible. Winds east to southeaste­rly 15 to 20 km/h becoming light in the middle of the day then becoming northeast to southeaste­rly 15 to 20 km/h in the early afternoon.

Peninsula

Cloudy. Very high (90%) chance of showers, most likely in the late morning and afternoon. The chance of a storm, with possible heavy falls in the afternoon. Winds northwest to northeaste­rly 15 to 25 km/h tending west to northweste­rly 20 to 30 km/h in the morning then tending northwest to northeaste­rly 15 to 20 km/h in the evening.
