THE Cairns Greyhound Club is racing this evening at Cannon Park with an exciting five-race program.

Race 4 is the D & B Mechanics 3/4th Grade over 410m.

Trainer Emma Bryant has two starters in this race.

Spring Bek (2) has been in consistent form, having two wins and two placings in her past four starts.

Libby’s Hero (4) ran second at her last start from box two and could go one better from here.

Casey Mini Me (1) for Robert Lound has drawn well, begins brilliantly up here and is a place chance.

Creed (8) for John LaRosa is well drawn from here. He will take some catching on the bunny.

Race 5 is the Max Stocks Frozen Food Best 8 over 410m.

Manhattan Maid (1) for Lound ran fifth in Townsville on Tuesday night from box three behind Licorice Shot.

She is back on her home track and has drawn well against a reasonable field.

Burner Bant (2) for George Tsakissiris ran fourth on Tuesday night behind Kerrie’s A Minx over 498m.

Wayne Outwide (3) for Gregory Pickard has been very consistent in Townsville over the 380m and has two starts here.

Lead Contender (6) for Lound has had two starts back from injury and has not drawn well first up in Cairns.

If he jumps and gets a clear run he will be hard to beat.

The first race kicks off at 7pm.
