Black Amex back on the card

- LEE PEARCE

OUTSTANDING greyhound Black Amex makes her return to racing at the Cairns Greyhound Club tonight at Cannon Park in the final event of the five-race program.

Race 5 is the Thank You Fishery Fall Hotel Best 8 over 410m.

This is a good-quality field with the return of Black Amex (2) for Shane McKenzie.

Black Amex has good box manners quickly.

She loves the track but has not started since her win in Townsville over 380m and she should be hard to beat.

Feral Cheral (5) for Robert Lound won here last week from box seven, then came second to Innocent Man on Tuesday night in Townsville over 380m. She will be the danger to Black Amex.

Creed (1) for John La Rosa has won his past two starts and and accelerates is a definite each-way chance.

Race 4 is the Thank You Jeffrey Down 4/5th Grade over 410m.

Jacoby Raider (1) for George Tsakissiris ran a good fourth in Townsville on Tuesday night behind Not A Word, and will get his chance tonight after drawing well in box one.

Libby’s Hero (2) for Emma Bryant has been consistent and could go one better after running second last week to Creed.

Winnie’s Rose (8) for Andrew Wooler won up here on April 6, then followed up on Tuesday night with a good second behind Not A Word.

The first race kicks off at 7pm.

The next Cairns greyhounds meet on the racing calendar is scheduled for Friday, April 20 at Cannon Park.
