When Labor made a commitment in 2016 to have a royal commission into banks, John Howard called it “rank socialism”. Followed by Treasurer Morrison saying it was “crass populism”. The Liberal Party itself is divided and its coalition partner the National Party is still recovering from the Barnaby Joyce scandal. Max, Cairns
