Ali Oetjen is hoping it’ll be third time’s a charm when she embarks on her next reality TV gamble. Having tried and failed on The Bachelor and Bachelor in Paradise, she will star as

the next Bachelorette.

ALI Oetjen is hoping for third time’s a charm when she embarks on her next reality TV gamble.

Having placed third on Tim Robards season of The Bachelor, and failing to sustain love after Bachelor in Paradise, the sales executive will star as the next Bachelorette.

“I’m 32, unmarried and don’t have any kids,” Oetjen said. “I like that I am vulnerable and I think that love is definitely worth everything to put yourself on the line.

“My parents are people I really look up to and I really want that partnership to spend my life with.

“I want a guy to spend my life with and I really want kids.

“Going on this show I will have the best opportunity to pick wisely because I am going to have a range of beautiful Australian men to pick from.”

Sophie Monk, Georgia Love and Sam Frost were the previous three Bachelorettes.

News of Oetjen’s signing as the next Bachelorette will come as a double whammy after she appeared on the finale episode of Bachelor In Paradise declaring her love for American Grant Kemp.

Oetjen said the pair broke up a few months ago after trying to negotiate a long distance relationship between Los Angeles and her home of Adelaide.

“My time in Fiji (on Bachelor In Paradise) was so real and I did fall deeply in love with Grant,” she said..

“Unfortunately the distance got between us, so I’ll be sticking to Australian men from now on.”

Oetjen appeared on the first season of The Bachelor in 2013.

After being unlucky in love there, two years later she was engaged to now ex David Waldeck.

“My heart breaks in the past have all been for a reason and leading to this moment,” she said. “Me five years ago, I was still a girl finding myself. Now I feel like I know what I want and I want it now.”

Aesthetically, Oetjen has previously been drawn to traditional tall, dark and handsome men.

“I am after someone that looks after themselves because that shows what kind of guy they are,” she said.

“I am also looking for what is inside so someone genuine and down to earth, light hearted, the nice guy.”

Oetjen is hoping the fact she’s appeared as a contestant previously will help her find love for good.

“I’m hoping I will see the fakes from the real ones,” she said. “I know what it is like on both sides so I can be very compassionate and know what the guys are going through.”
