I moved here 18 years ago and the reason is because I did a trip around Australia and Cairns was the place I liked most because it has the Reef, it’s got the rainforest and it has the warm weather. Being from Germany I appreciate the warm weather. It’s just a great place to live and we’ve got great schools. I really enjoy going into the city because we’ve got lots of great cafes, we have the Lagoon which is amazing with a family with young children or even bigger children. We’ve got lots of markets, not only in Cairns, but also in surrounding places like the Tablelands where we have waterfalls, rainforests where we go for walks. We’ve lived here for 18 years and still find new places to go bushwalking. We discover new waterfalls all the time.
