Katter’s fuel concern

-

CANBERRA’S Question Time got a bit ribald when Kennedy MP Bob Katter took Energy Minister Josh Frydenberg to task for the nation’s worsening fuel security yesterday. Mr Katter said Australian-controlled fuel sources in 2014 were enough to ensure 23 days’ supply in the case of disruption. “Minister Frydenberg has now announced shrinkage to only 20 days,” he said. Mr Katter called for the Federal Government to mandate the production of more oil and ethanol on home soil, thereby reducing reliance on imports and “overcoming Frydenberg’s shrinkage”.
