T-shirt firm aims at Asia

-

BEAUTIFUL Disregard founders Shireen (right) and Stephen O’Brien will head to Japan next week to expand their fledgling Tshirt business.

The pair, a nurse and a medical business owner, were at an amusement park line in Japan when they noticed many of the women aspiring to “look a certain way and follow a certain gimmick or trend with no concept of their amazingly unique beauty”.

The shirts are sourced from India using ethically made products with proceeds going to organisations which stop female slavery.

AMATO Design has offered to stock the shirts and help boost the business in Asia.

Mrs O’Brien said at least three other businesses were keen to discuss their idea.

Hundreds of the shirts have been sold since Beautiful Disregards started in September last year. Most of the sales are via their website.
