Life’s a beach at villas

- ANDREW GREGORY andrew.gregory@news.com.au

A BEACHFRONT holiday complex of six villas has hit the market with its husband-andwife owner-operators selling after about 15 years.

Premier Commercial Real Estate principal Graeme Hennessy said the six villas in the complex each had their own separate titles, but the owners were not offering them for individual sale.

The complex is set on about 1077sq m at 85-87 Upolu Esplanade, within walking distance of the Palm Cove restaurant precinct.

Mr Hennessy said the two three-bedroom and four twobedroom villas were each about 150sq m with ensuite bathrooms and their own laundry, kitchen and balcony.

The complex has its own pool and spa with vehicle parking including two lockup garage spaces, four undercover spaces and three visitor bays.

The current owners bought one of the villa apartments in 2003 before buying the remaining five in later years and letting them as holiday accommodation.

“The presentation is as close to perfect as you can get for a building this age,” Mr Hennessy said.

“This is a great family operation opportunity, because a husband-and-wife team can run it very comfortably.

“For a younger couple to live in one unit and let the others out – this is a great business from that point of view,” he said.

“It would also stack up, in my view, as viable for a selfmanaged superannuation fund.”
