A LOCAL developer has breathed new life into a commercial medical precinct in the heart of the city.
Stateland Pty Ltd has transformed a 1017sq m site at 203-205 Lake St by developing a modern, single-level, commercial building.
Twomey Schriber Property Group project manager Peter Shervey said it had been nearly 10 years since a new commercial building to accommodate medical professionals was built in the Lake Street medical precinct.
“The architecturally designed building has a modern facade and a significant glazed shopfront to enhance natural light and street appeal,” Mr Shervey said.
“The building has a net lettable area of 450sq m and the facilities and services including access, toilets, PWD amenities, kitchenette and showers have been duplicated.
“This is to accommodate for different user requirements.
“Further, the building provides for an alternate staff access.”
The building has been built to include energy-efficient lighting and zoned airconditioning.
Plos Constructions built the structure near both hospitals.
The property is easily accessible with 12 on-site car bays and Cairns Regional Council has installing metered onstreet carparking.
