Roger Federer

Country: Switzerland Age: 36. Seed: 1 Wimbledon best: Winner 2003, ’04, ’05, ’06, ’07, ’09, ’12, ’17 Ladbrokes odds: $2.88 As always, Federer has been in good form on grass, winning the Stuttgart Open before losing in the final of the Halle Open to Bora Coric. The defending champion and No.1 seed will be hard to beat.

Rafael Nadal

Country: Spain Age: 32. Seed: 2 Wimbledon best: Winner 2008, ’10 Ladbrokes odds: $8 After winning his 11th French Open, the world No.1 arrives in London in good form. However, the 17-time Grand Slam champion won the most recent of his two Wimbledon titles eight years ago and hasn’t been past the last 16 since 2011.

Andy Murray

Country: Great Britain Age: 31. Unseeded Wimbledon best: Winner 2013, ’16 Ladbrokes odds: $15 Only recently returned to action after hip surgery in January, losing to Nick Kyrgios in his first match back. Two-time champion Murray will still be a big threat in his home tournament despite his lack of match practice.

Nick Kyrgios

Country: Australia Age: 23. Seed: 16 Wimbledon best: Quarter-final 2014 Ladbrokes odds: $15 The Australian No.1 has been in good form on grass, defeating Andy Murray for the first time in five attempts and reaching the semi-final at the Queen’s Club in London before being defeated by Marin Cilic.

Novak Djokovic

Country: Serbia Age: 31. Seed: 12 Wimbledon best: Winner 2011, ’14, ’15 Ladbrokes odds: $6.50 Elbow surgery interrupted the Serbian star’s season but he showed some good form on grass, reaching the final at Queen’s before losing to Marin Cilic. A big threat to add to his three Wimbledon titles.

Marin Cilic

Country: Croatia Age: 23. Seed: 3 Wimbledon best: Runner-up 2017 Ladbrokes odds: $8 Last year’s beaten finalist will enjoy being back on the grass. The big-serving Croat enjoys the surface and should go deep into the tournament, following up from his win over Djokovic in the Queen’s Club final.
