United keen to atone

-

INNISFAIL United Premier Women are hoping to turn around their form and rise off the bottom of the ladder this weekend. The team had a painful 3-1 loss against Leichhardt on Sunday, but coach Amber Overton said she was pleased with players’ determination. “We were down 3-0 at half time, which was disappointing – we probably let a few silly goals in and had a few defensive errors,” she said. “In the second half, we came out and dominated and scored a goal – we got into our groove.” Tracee Harris managed to get the ball in the back of the net in the last 10 minutes. The team play the Southside Comets at Castor Park, Mourilyan at 3pm on Saturday.
