The Cairns Post

We love reporting for duty

- By Lachlan Christie, Year 5, Holy Cross School

EVERY Friday as part of our service and outreach program, the Reporters and Photographers Club meet Marg Judd, our co-ordinator, in her room.

We always look forward to writing reports and taking photos about things that are happening in our school.

The Reporters and Photographers Club has about 20 students in it, and everyone writes at least one report each term, so everyone is involved.

Each of us love taking photos up on assembly on Fridays.

We have a roster so we all have the opportunity to take photos.

We have written stories about the annual cross country, our school officers, and many different things around the school.

Everyone loves being in the Reporters and Photographers Club.

We like sharing news about Holy Cross around the Cairns region.

Lucas Russell in 5S is really passionate taking about photos with the school camera and taking photos up on assembly.

Every Friday Lucas says he “looks forward to writing stories for the Cairns Post”.

The Holy Cross Reporters and Photographers are currently developing a school blog too.

They have also entered a photography competition, for the Independent Education Union, with the theme of nature. The kids love exploring the world of nature.
