LOFTY PRICE
$2.65M HOUSE SALE:
COMING with a swag of awards including the Housing Industry Association’s best overall custom built home, best use of masonry and Cairns home of the year, this Trinity Park home has also recorded the highest sales price in Cairns this year.
At $2.65 million, the purchase of 22-24 Brindabella Quay by southern investors was also the highest sale price ever achieved in the marinabound suburb.
Agent Nathan Shingles from FNQ Hot Property said the “trophy home” would not be the last property to break records in the city this year.
“Trinity Park and Bluewater Harbour, in particular, is really coming into its own,” he said.
“It just shows that buyers can see the lifestyle value in top-tier homes. In fact, while the number of high-end homes selling at record prices may seem high, more records will continue to tumble with an exodus from southern property markets outstripping supply of quality, luxurious homes in the Cairns region.”
On just 500 sqm of land the home packs in plenty of features with a 12.5m private pontoon with a boardwalk able to accommodate a 13m boat.
The house also has five bedrooms, five bathrooms, a sixcar garage, home theatre, study and gym.
Mr Shingles also sold Cairns’ top property last year. On the same street, 4 Brindabella Quay sold in October for $2.5 million. The home represents just one of many reasons property investors are flocking to the Far North.
