Chief flying instructor and chief pilot Sally Scott said the club was very proud to have won this award.

“We have many members that have worked hard within the club to maintain the spirit and viability of the club over the many years, and in particular throughout our move from Cairns to Mareeba,” she said.

“We look forward to our future in Mareeba and next year there will be many celebrations as it is our 70th anniversary.”
