Casino plan raises questions
WHILE the billion-dollar Global Tourism Hub casino complex is being built along the Cairns waterfront from 2020, will the developers contribute to road networks?
What effect will truck movements have on city traffic, noise pollution and parking? How many of the beautiful trees on the current port authority block and along Wharf St will be left standing?
Will machinery and building supplies be brought into the wharf by sea? That should do wonders for tourist and recreational boat movements and the marine environment.
