MICHAEL Majer and Piper Symonds spend time among Prep students at Our Lady Help of Christians School who stepped into the magical world of fairy tales for a fun-filled morning of craft, cooking and dress-ups.

JUNIOR students at Our Lady Help of Christians School stepped into the magical world of fairy tales for a funfilled morning of craft, cooking and dress-ups.

Prep classes and Years 1s joined in on the activities.

“I got to dress up for dressup day … I dressed up as Rapunzel,” Prep G student Sophie Duda said. “I made a gingerbread man. “I made the gingerbread man out of flour and I rolled it.

“I put some sultanas for eyes. Then Mrs Mears put all of them in the oven.

“At second lunch we got to eat them.

“We got to make a mask. Then we got to take them home.

“Then we got to build houses.

“We could make them out of big blocks or little blocks or Lego. I felt happy because I got to dress up.”

Prep P student Gethin Phillips said he enjoyed taking part in the fairy tale parade with the year one kids.

“We made some fairy tale masks, I made a fox,” he said.

“We made a three little pig’s home and I made a brick home.

“Then we went to make a gingerbread man, I decorated the gingerbread man with some raisins.

“In the afternoon we played duck, duck goose. I felt excited.”

Prep P student Kalana Stanton also enjoyed making and then eating gingerbread men.

“I went as the swan in The Ugly Duckling,” she said.

“I made a mask and I made Goldilocks.

“Then we went to the Prep eating area and made some gingerbread men.

“For our last activity we got to go to a Year 1 class and make the three little pigs’ house with blocks.

“I felt cool wearing my mask.”
