Farewell to a top teacher

-

ONE of our special Holy Cross teachers is leaving to go on a trip around Australia.

Amanda Brownhill has been teaching at Holy Cross for the best two years of her life and hopefully she comes back next year, in time for our graduation.

Before Mrs Brownhill joined Holy Cross, she worked at Ergon Energy.

She has a lovely husband Dave and two boys, Lachlan, 9, and Samuel, 8.

On her trip around Australia Mrs Brownhill is looking forward to travelling to the Western Australian coastline and also can’t wait to go on the Spirit of Tasmania.

While Mrs Brownhill travels around Australia they are also expecting to meet up with all their family members outside of Cairns.

They plan on staying with them for some time.

Some of the adventures Mrs Brownhill and her family are planning on doing are bike riding, drinking tea, reading, swimming, relaxing and taking videos for her blog.

On their wild adventure they are travelling in a ute and towing their caravan.

The boys will be homeschooled.

“Owning our first caravan has always been a dream,” Mrs Brownhill told us with a big smile on her face.

Mrs Brownhill has helped so much our classroom throughout 2018.

She has been really caring and we will all miss her.
