ACROSS four unique campuses, Woree State High School strives for excellence in both academic and trade-skill based settings.
The main campus is located in the southern suburbs of Cairns.
With a total enrolment of 935 students across the four campuses, Woree State High School has proven track records in academic excellence in OP1-15, completion of Queensland Certificate of Education (QCE) and Vocational Education Training.
Woree State High School offers students an extensive range of subjects including science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM), hospitality and tourism as well as core subjects such as English, humanities and health and physical education.
With a diverse community, Woree State High School promotes cultural awareness and works closely with the Clontarf Foundation to assist with the best possible educational outcomes for students.
Following are some of the outstanding programs and community contributions the school is responsible for. CAIRNS HOSPITAL SCHOOL Woree State High School operates the Cairns Hospital School, located within the paediatric ward of Cairns Hospital.
The school assists with the educational needs of more than 1200 children and adolescents per year.
The purpose of the educational service is to maximise the continuity of education for those who have chronic or acute health conditions and require hospital treatment.
Teachers and teacher aides provide a program that assists students to complete schoolwork provided by their own school or by the hospital staff.
