So much to enjoy on Green Island

-

OUR Year 1 class went to Green Island.

First we went on the bus, then we got to the jetty and got on the boat. We walked to the beach. Next I dug a big hole and played in the water.

After that we went to Marineland Melanesia crocodile farm.

Finally we got on a big boat and we sat inside. I coloured an octopus. Then we got on to the bus again.

Finally we went back to school.

It was a great day and we all want to go back again. FROM, “it’s so hot”, to laughter all around, Year 3, 4, 5 and 6 enjoyed an adrenaline-rushing event organised by our wonderful sports teacher Ayton Russell.

This event was called Swim ‘n’ Splash and it began at Holy Cross in 2017.

Students enjoyed a variety of activities including the game peanuts, an obstacle course, diving contest and the big inflatable­s. There were also races. Everyone had to participat­e in the freestyle.

We participat­ed in our sports teams and the day was competitiv­e even in the fun events.

Everyone had so much fun it was one of the best days ever at Holy Cross.

All of the students said they loved it.

The day was about heaps of exercise at the same time full of fun.

The Swim ‘n’ Splash took place on October 12.

Mr Russell had thought about this event a lot.

When he sat down to organise what the day would look like his aim was fun and fitness.
