Setting goals and watching progress
KHEIGEN Cooper is a selfconfessed fitness fanatic.
The Westcourt woman hits the gym before and after work as often as she can, plus with her partner does the Red and Blue Arrow trails four or five times a week.
But for Ms Cooper, all of the hard work is worth it.
“I’m trying to keep myself healthy and young,” she said.
“My partner and I are quite competitive against each other, which is what spurs us on. We’re always trying to beat each other.”
She said she was able to measure her benchmarks working out with him.
“We’re trying to achieve our own goals – I’m trying to lose weight and he’s trying to bulk and shred – so this is a great way to work towards them,” she said.
After trying out the new Fitbit Versa smartwatch, which is available now with a 12-month digital subscription to the Cairns Post, Ms Cooper said it could play into her fitness goals.
“I think if you’re looking to get fit and stay healthy this is a great way to track your goals,” she said.
A digital subscription includes access to the digital print edition of the Cairns Post, which appears exactly as it was printed on your computer, tablet or smartphone.
The offer is available for a limited time and includes access to the digital editions of The Courier-Mail, Daily Telegraph, Herald Sun, NT News and the Townsville Bulletin.
