When are the climate change scientists, Australia, and the UN and the world going to look at the real facts from Australia. The Australian CSIRO weather scientists

state there have been less cyclones in North Queensland in recent years as the Coral Sea has been cooler. The same is predicated (sic) for this year. These climate change scams costs Qld a lot more than even if one cyclone happened. Is cooling causing bleaching? Viv, Earlville

I was always under the assumption that parking was free up town on a Sunday. I soon found out what happens when u ‘assume’ something! How rude! Shaz, Manoora

Rainy weather won’t end water restriction but I like the rain cause I don’t have to water my garden so be water wise to water your yard with a hand-held hose. JD, Woree

Cairns Taipans: Sorry but Devon Hall has had his time. He needs to be let go. We cannot afford to wait for him to have 1

good game and think he will carry on. Need to replace him with an actual shooter who can score. Dennis, Redlynch Taipans Fan

Miranda, Palm Cove re: Sunbus. We have emailed them many times about their drivers using undesignated routes and stopping in front of our building in Cairns and never a response. Drivers still drive McLeod Street even after we worked hard to remove the buses. John, Cairns City

Re: Werner’s letter concerning fluoride in water (CP, 2/11), notice the usual ‘official’ stories push fluoride while most objective reports present the major dangers. Peter, Redlynch

Paul-Commonsense, (CP, 3/11) Kur World is happening right now. They might not have the council approval but that has not stopped. They have the backing of many billionaires in Hong Kong. They already have Kur Cow up and running. Buying all the land and cattle stations in the surrounding areas. Financially both of these businesses will thrive and Kuranda itself will die. Tracy, Kuranda

On Johnathan Thurston saying Cairns should be hosting an NRL fixture each season, he is spot on. Honestly if the Townsville Cowboys claim to represent all of North Queensland they should be hosting a home game and a trial in Cairns (preferably against the Wests Tigers) and in Mackay annually. Scottie, Bayview Heights
