PM will be back north
COME on Daniel (CP, 7/11) “PM’s tour de farce”).
PM Scott Morrison visited Cairns within the first few days of his new position. He talked solidly with many prominent people, and citizens at a function within that time, and also after it.
Almost overnight the $20 million Mossman Mill Transmission Project was announced.
Just recently a large cohort of Advance Cairns and community representatives (successfully we are told) visited Canberra with a list of FNQ needs and they met the PM and other ministers. I expect he will revisit Cairns again (and people will still moan) to listen to our needs.
The Tableland Nullinga Dam has been on the table for some 20 years, and yes, it is much needed, and we keep our fingers ever crossed, as we do with our port upgrade and needs, which we hope the Advance Cairns group mentioned on their successful visit. Naomi Wilson, Bayview Heights
