As one of three fi­nal­ists from Queens­land and the sole Cairns rep­re­sen­ta­tive, she could go on to rep­re­sent the re­gion at the world cham­pi­onships in Paris.

“If I have even the tini­est chance to get through to the world­wide stage, it would be a com­plete game changer,” she said.

Ms Cook will at­tend the na­tional fi­nals in Mel­bourne, on Fe­bru­ary 25.
