Donor democracy alive
WHILE throwing unsubstantiated mud at Bob Katter, Dennis Quick (CP, 7/11) has once again failed to declare his longstanding role as regional co-ordinator for the LNP.
So I guess it’s natural he would criticise other parties.
But isn’t it interesting there’s not one word from Mr Quick attacking Labor?
Then again, with the performance over the last few years and stabbing PMs, people could be forgiven for thinking the LNP are working hard to put Labor into office.
Now seeing as Mr Quick has made the link between donors and influence maybe he and his LNP colleagues would like to discuss what influence the $1.5 million in donations to the LNP from insurance companies in recent years? Or the $4 million from the banks? Or perhaps the truckloads of money from the pharmaceutical industry or large multinational corporations?
Yes, indeed, the facts are freely available on the AEC’s website.
‘Donor democracy’ is alive and well it seems.
