TULLY TO HINCHINBROOK

Grunter have been on the bite with best fishing on the runout tides at night in the Hinchinbrook Channel and the sandbar mouths of the Murray River, Dallachy River and Meunga Creek. Small lure have accounted for good numbers of mangrove jacks in the estuaries. The upper freshwater section of the Tully River is fishing well on jungle perch and sooty grunter. This weekend should see the blue water action kick in again after the Coral Reef fin fish closure ceases midnight Friday.
