TABLELAND COMPANY OF ARCHERS

Three beginners Bianca and Loz Le Gear and Lily Stein attended the coaching session with the Tableland Company of Archers coach on Sunday last while two members Jemma Denigan and Will Smith shot practice. Three members shot 72 arrow rounds and one junior member shot Oz-Bow rounds. A general meeting was held after the shoot. Results Launceston Round: (consists of 36 arrows each at 50 and 30m on an 80cm face) Veteran Men’s Compound: R Hodgetts 615 Veteran Men’s B/B Recurve: G Patten 482 Results X-Launceston Round: (consists of 36 arrows each at 50 and 30m on a 60cm face) Veteran Men’s X-Bow: P Lillingsto­ne 542 Results Oz-Bow 10m Novice Archer Round: (consists of 30 arrows each at 10m on a 122cm face, qualifying score 130). Intermedia­te Boys Compound: V Falvo 299 (one point off a perfect 300) Results Oz-Bow Black 15 Round: (consists of 30 arrows each at 15m on a 122cm face, qualifying score 140). Intermedia­te Boys Compound: V Falvo 291 Results Oz-Bow Blue 20 Round: (consists of 30 arrows each at 20m on a 122cm face, qualifying score 150). Intermedia­te Boys Compound: V Falvo 285 Next Sunday November 18 coaching will be conducted for visitors and beginners from 9am to 12md at the club’s range off Springs Road, Mareeba. It was a warm, fine Spring day for our two card I.R.B. competitio­n. Fourteen shooters spread over three details enjoyed good early conditions which became more challengin­g as the day progressed. RAVENSHOE SSAA

Saturday 10th November Ravenshoe & District SSAA hosted its annual Remembranc­e Day Nasho Inter-Branch rifle and pistol shoot with 18 shooters competing from Tablelands, Innisfail & Cairns branches of the National Servicemen’s Associatio­n of Australia. Winner of the competitio­n was Lawrence Calleja (Innisfail), 2nd Ron Trackson (Innisfail) and 3rd John Hardy (Tablelands). Highest score of the day went to Adam Russo (Cairns) and 3rd highest to Brendan MacRae (Tablelands). Next Saturday 17th November: Lever action rifle and centre fire pistol silhouette competitio­ns.
