Darts row on nose

PROFESSIONAL darts players Gary Anderson and Wesley Harms have caused a stink by accusing each other of farting onstage. Two-time world champ Anderson blew away Harms 10-2 to book a quarter-final spot at the Grand Slam of Darts in the UK. In a post-match TV interview, Dutch thrower Harms, 34, claimed his Scottish rival was responsible for breaking wind on stage. But world No.4 Anderson, 47, hit back, suggesting Harms had left the unpleasant smell. “It definitely came from table-side and it was eggs, rotten eggs, but not from me,” Anderson said.

76ers find their form

BEN Simmons rediscovered his groove but it was superstar newcomer Jimmy Butler who made a buzzer-beating 3-pointer in overtime to give their Philadelphia 76ers a 122-119 victory over the Charlotte Hornets. Australian point guard Simmons had struggled to make an impact in the first two games following Butler’s arrival but he came to life in Charlotte on Saturday night, only missing a triple-double by one assist as he logged 23 points, 11 rebounds and nine assists. The 76ers had to overcome a career-high 60-point game from Hornets ace Kemba Walker – the first haul of 60 or more in the NBA since James Harden dropped 60 on Orlando last January.
