Global warming is hot air

-

RE: John Pratt, ”Climate change is real” (CP, 21/11). Global warming is just a lot of “hot air”. And, if you believe that global warming is real, then you must live in “Fairyland”. In the US, severe winter temperatures have arrived a full 60 days early.

“Houston reported its earliest snowfall ever, beating places like New York City and Boston as a cold snap descended over Texas. The Intercontinental Airport in Houston set a new record for the first observed snowfall, breaking one set on November 23, 1979, according to a Twitter post from the National Weather Service.” – Bloomberg.

Here in Australia we have a recordbreaking cold snap in WA’s south, which wiped out vineyards and frost-damaged grapevines after the record-breaking November cold snap. Winemakers in WA’s Great Southern Region are reeling from a recent frost event that damaged up to 80 per cent of their vines.

The acclaimed Frankland River wine region, 120 kilometres northwest of Albany, was worst hit by record-low temperatures for November, which swept across the region earlier this week.
