A NEW residential estate just a stone’s throw from the Cairns CBD is attracting interest from both local and international markets.

With 58 lots available, ranging in size from 458-830 sqm, construction of Enclave kicked off less than two weeks ago.

Located at Jacamunda Cir- cuit, Earlville, the new housing estate boasts one major feature, and that is being the “last available parcel of land in close proximity to Cairns CBD”.

Enclave is being developed by Urbex, a subsidiary of North Queensland-based property and construction company BMD Group, with lots selling between $260,000-$325,000. As well as bringing a boost to employment, the local building industry has welcomed the new development.

Several high-end builders have expressed their interest in the vast majority of flat lots, including Mathew Ducie of Duce Constructions.

He said the estate’s location was one of the biggest drawcards.

“It is the closest and biggest subdivision available to the city and is still within a nice area,” he said. “This will be its biggest advantage in getting buyers interested and I think it will be very popular.”

A new park has also been recently been completed at the site, featuring a slide, sand and natural logs for imaginative play for children.

Enclave sales consultant Nicole Turner said that with Cairns’ economy showing signs of entering the road to recovery, the opportunity to purchase land this close to the city centre would be a major selling point. Amber Scott, Photography by Justin Ridler
