Protester loses hand

A “YELLOW vest” demonstrator has lost his hand during clashes with police in Paris during a 13th weekend of anti-government protests in France.

Tens of thousands turned out in cities across the country to protest French President Emmanuel Macron’s policies. Clashes broke out outside the National Assembly in Paris.

While many demonstrators marched peacefully, some masked activists tried to break down barriers outside the Parliament and medics said a man had his hand ripped off during clashes between police and protesters.
