Business Buzz Promotion recognises dedication
WGC Lawyers has elevated four staff members to the position of associate in recognition of their effort, skills and commitment to their clients.
Managing director Eddy Lago congratulated Tamlyn Leahy, Jessika Reghenzani, Rhys Larsen and Joshua McDiarmid on their well-earned promotions within the Cairns firm.

“Tamlyn, who works in the family law team which I lead, began her legal career in the Northern Territory in 2000.
“Working mostly in private practice firms in the Northern Territory and then in Queensland, she has gained wide-ranging experience in litigation and family law over the course of her career.
“Jessika predominantly practises in the area of employment law, assisting both employers and employees while working closely with directors John Hayward and Rhiannon Saunders.
“As part of that team she also practises in the areas of dispute resolution, corporate governance and debt recovery.
“After completing a Bachelor of Business (Human Resources) – Bachelor of Laws at James Cook University in Cairns in 2013, Jessika was admitted as a lawyer to the Supreme Court of Queensland in 2014.”
Rhys Larsen joined WGC after graduating with a Bachelor of Laws in 2014 and completed his Law Graduate Traineeship at two prominent Cairns firms.
“In 2015 Rhys was admitted as a lawyer to the Supreme Court of Queensland and High Court of Australia,” Mr Lago said.
“He works in the commercial construction law team and is very familiar with court and mediation processes.
“In 2015, he worked as an Associate in the District Court of Queensland where he gained the Equity and Inclusion – Small Legal Practice Award at the Queensland Law Society’s Legal Profession Awards on March 15 in recognition of their positive firm culture.
