AFTER two and a half years the owners of Edge Hill’s newest cafe are selling up.

Village Cafe on Collins at the Edge Hill roundabout has airconditioned seating capacity for 40 and a further 26 outside.

Owners Mark Slimmer and Caroline Diamond opened the cafe for breakfast and lunch in August 2016 with a focus on fresh, local produce and sustainable practices.

Misty Mountain Farms and Mungalli Creek Dairy products feature on their menu as well as local coffee.

Now, it is on the market with LJ Hooker Cairns Edge Hill agent Richard Pearson.

“Experienced restaurateurs are required to take this prime site cafe to the next level in the popular Edge Hill dining precinct,” he said.

“Just on the market for sale, the Village Cafe on Collins is currently a breakfast and lunch venue but night time dining is the next step.

“The business has become a hustle and bustle affair for coffee drinkers, with an extensive food menu.

“It is a well-established operation with all the hard work of a new business completed and with enormous potential for the future.”

Two three-year options are available on lease assignment from July 1, 2019. The business is listed for $125,000.
