Innisfail Ladies enjoyed a perfect afternoon of bowls. It was so encouraging to see two of our Super Veterans out on the green and still bowling competitively. Congratulations go to both Elsie Sestero and Wally Kriesel for accepting the role. Social bowls is on every Sunday and SJBC welcomes all members and non members to join in the afternoon fun which kicks off at 1pm and cost is $10 with smoko provided.

WEST CAIRNS TPI
We had 18 players on the green including two returning visiting bowlers last Monday playing under ideal conditions. Winners Leslie Colman (visitor from Melbourne)/Dennis Evans/Phil Buntain. Numbers were down a little mainly caused by some players being involved in other activities. Every Monday we call the cards at 1.15pm and commence the three hours of play at 1.30pm with play on the covered carpet green. Afternoon tea is provided as part of the green fee. All registered bowlers regardless of where they normally play are always welcome. Intention to play can be achieved by phoning our selector on 0409 624 623 before 1pm, with visitors asked to provide their normal playing position and a phone contact number. A sheet is also available at the West Cairns Clubhouse. Games are normally triples and are played in a non-competitive manner. We prefer normal club attire if it is available.
