ARCHERY

TABLELAND COMPANY OF ARCHERS THE Tableland Company of Archers hosted its Annual August Interclub Tournament on the weekend in sunny and warm conditions with a slight breeze. Visiting archers from the Barrier Coast Club helped make the tournament a success. The tournament started on Saturday afternoon, followed by a fun match play (illuminati­ons), finishing the round on Sunday morning with lunch and presentati­ons. The club used a grant from Bendigo Bank for target centres. Barrier Coast Archers won the Compound Team Shield and the Tableland Company of Archers won the Recurve Team Shield. Results WA60/1440 round (consists of 36 arrows each at 60 and 50m on a 122cm face and 40 and 30m on an 80cm face): Open men’s compound, K Bassett 1367 (BCA) 1, C Glasser 1353 (BCA) 2, J Hawken 1252 (BCA) 3.
