Cancer appeal in full bloom

- CHRIS CALCINO

SIMPLY wearing yellow was not enough for two Cairns businesswomen who opted for a very literal interpretation of Daffodil Day’s sartorial requirements.

Halpin Partners staff donned their brightest lemon clobber in solidarity with the Cancer Council’s Daffodil Day appeal yesterday.

Loren Gillison and Amy Garcia stepped it up a notch, transforming themselves into the most lifelike depictions of the flower possible without getting soil under their toenails.

“We feel it is such a worthy cause and we are always very happy to be involved,” Ms Gillison explained.

“The bright and cheerful flower can signify hope for these people and that they are not alone in their community.”
