Memo to Sam Groth on Sports Sunday. Keep your head still, or are you trying to copy your Big Brother Steven Seagal in his karate movies? GTHO, Manunda Anti vaccine capital Byron Bay is currently bracing for a measles outbreak. The good people of Byron Bay refuse to believe over a century of science which says childhood vaccination works and is safe. I’m astounded that these same communities become vocal when others then question the science behind climate change. Isn’t science believable, or only when it meets your agenda? Please show some respect for the rest of us and vaccinate your children. Rick, Redlynch Well done to PM Scott Morrison for helping to stop welfare people spending all their dole on the drink. I support the welfare debit card all the way to the bank. Taxpayer, Australia Heavy transport via Kuranda should be by rail. We have the way, pity we don’t have the will. Matchett, Cairns Rex, (CP, 07/09). Cairns needs a new football stadium like it needs a hole in the head. The new casino is being jammed down our throats by the Brisbane circus, agree on both of those but theatre is good. The water park at Port Douglas is another Aquis in waiting. Bill, Mooroobool Katter is a joke. Happy to spend billions of Australian taxpayers’ dollars, so as to benefit the government of India. Meanwhile nothing has ever been spent on duplicating the single, obsolete, third world railway line for the taxpayers of FNQ. Thus creating heaps of lifelong jobs. Thus destroying the deadly Bruce Hwy & wasting fossil fuels by carting many tonnes of freight via road. Rex, Edmonton
