Ideal space for big display
AT the base of a busy CBD hotel, this commercial space has plenty of foot traffic moving past its doors and a great chance for advertising.
Shop 8 at 32-40 Spence St is part of Rydges Plaza with large amounts of passing traffic also on Grafton St traffic.
“A prime space is now available in Grafton St within the Rydges Plaza complex on the corner of Spence and Grafton streets,” said Knight Frank Cairns agent Greg Wood.
“The space is ideally suited to retail or office use, with extensive frontage facing Grafton St, which offers the opportunity for an enormous window display.
“The premises has an area of 180 sqm, however, can be subdivided.
“Grafton St is placed as a local retail hub, popular with foodies and quirky retail uses, as well as mainstream retail.
“The shop has prominence to Rydges Plaza Hotel and their foyer area and is highly visible.
“This tenancy offers excellent signage opportunities and has only recently come on the market after a long tenancy to a clothing uniform outlet.”
NNT Uniforms has relocated to the Boland’s Centre on the corner of Lake and Spence streets.
Although the tenant would most likely operate at different times to XS Nightlife, the club under the Rydges Plaza Hotel is part of a revitalisation of the Cairns CBD of late.
The up-market venue was on the drawing board since September 2017 when a development application was lodged with Cairns Regional Council and opened earlier this year.
James Duan opened Envy Espresso Cairns last month to showcase lessons from a coffee career that has spanned Melbourne, Vancouver in Canada and Wellington in New Zealand and a love of handcrafted timber furniture.
And, the council’s Sunday on Shields events, running until October, are designed to bring visitors to the CBD.
