MAREEBA RIFLE CLUB
MAREEBA Rifle Club shot a 2 x 800yd competition on Sunday, August 15. The
conditions were OK, however the breeze was fishtailing down-range. F std: B Haldane (Mareeba) (10/11) 45.0; 53.0 — 98.0. FO: T. Salmon (Mareeba) (10/11). TR: F Chester (Mareeba) (10/11) 43.1; 52.3 — 95.4; M Beecham (Mareeba) (10/11) 43.2 — 96.7; D Ford (Mareeba) (10/11) 48.3; 54.5 — 102.8. The club shot a 2 x 500yd comp on Sunday, September 22. The conditions were good, so good in fact we didn’t put any flags up. Our program was altered as we had too few members. It is just as well the club owns two electronic targets as this allows for the ability to shoot with low numbers safely. F open: A. Salmon (Mareeba) (10/11) 60.6; 65.3 — 125.4. TR: D. Ford (Mareeba) (10/11) 49.2; 55.7 — 104.9. The club will shoot a double 900yd comp this Sunday, September 29.
