On other matters
If the CRC really wants to help with rate payments make them in three monthly payments like most other councils, not to mention they are twice as much.

To Elise, the mum worried about climate change affecting her family (CP, 13/02). If anything unusual is happening with the climate it’s out of Australia’s hands. We’re just too small to change anything. Our families need the capacity to adapt. That requires strong economy and cheap, reliable power. Renewables can’t do that, only coal, nuclear and large hydro can. Pick one.

Danny O’Shane (CP, 13/02). I’m an indigenous Australian. I and several generations of my forebears were born here. Brendan Thoms is not Australian, he was born overseas to foreign parents and has never sought citizenship. Our High Court is now an international joke.
Woz, Parramatta Park
Elise (CP, 13/02). Help is on the way for future families like yourselves, electric vehicles are on the way. By 2035 there will be an estimated two billion fossil fuel-burning vehicles in the world, they will be replaced with electric battery operated ones. This will cut CO2 emissions considerably.
Keith Foster, Manunda
Paul and Keith. If you think the current LNP governments are responsible for Labor’s failed national park vegetation laws then you obviously don’t know the meaning of ownership. And I would bet you guys will be the first to protest any changes to those laws. Robbo, Gordonvale
Joanne (CP, 13/02). Don’t worry about the extra carbon emissions in 2032. There’s a myth going around that the volume of CO2 in our atmosphere always stays the same.
