Build as many prisons and Petford centres as you want, not much will change. Governments need to stop building entertainment shrines to themselves and start building roads, railway lines, dams and power stations, even a billion dollar tobacco industry, that when stupidly shut down, did nothing to prevent humans smoking.

Smithfield bypass. Let’s hope the Premier physically visits the intersection where the bypass intersects with the western arterial so she can see only an overpass will solve the traffic problem. Even Mr Crawford in today’s Post says “the bypass will most likely funnel a lot of extra traffic on to the western arterial”.

Your editorial highlights precisely how out of touch the legal system is and why the silent majority are so frustrated with many of the decisions handed down by our courts and seeing as the taxpayers are usually funding these challenges to our laws the frustration is reaching boiling point.

As if the $100m sports rorts were not bad enough, half of the drought grants also went to ineligible councils. Now the media is reporting that $140m of the $150m earmarked for rural development went to big city marginal Liberal electorates. If I misused Commonwealth funds I would be jailed. Where is ICAC?
