Bring back manufacturing

-

ONCE this pandemic is done and dusted, just watch the return and re-establishment of manufacturing to those countries which currently rely on China’s manufacturing industry.

We have to start making our own stuff. Forget about China and we will benefit enormously.

This is a disgusting habit that has been accepted as the norm over a number of years and is now “thought to be cool” by many of the adolescent community.

It is not “cool”. It is disgusting and dangerous in this immediate crisis. Recently, I have had a school adolescent male clear his throat and spit onto the footpath in front of me as I walked past, to the delight of his companions. My response of disgust gained further great glee from his companions. I hope that this current crisis will alert everyone (oh I live in hope) to the fact that spitting into the environment is unacceptable.
