On coronavirus

Joanne, (CP, 26/03), you’ve obviously never listened to Rudd, Gillard, Shorten or Albanese to make a statement like that.

Bill, Mooroobool (CP, 26/03) Vintage Peta Credlin putting the cart before the horse. The spread of COVID-19 should be a wake-up call for the impact global warming will have on our future generations. Given there will be no “economy” if life on our planet is dying. It will be survival then silence unless we choose to act. The ABC story Saving the Amazon a good example. Pictures from space showing the destruction of rainforest in Brazil, often described as the lungs of the earth. The justification is it’s increasing their economy.

QLD Premier. Please listen. Proceeding with the election on Saturday is irresponsible. Many won’t vote and the outcome will be a false result.

Cal, Kewarra Beach

Funny how our governments could keep diseased people arriving by ship in quarantine back in 1918 but they can’t in 2020. How has our massive investment in government improved our lot? Joanne, Manunda

Absolutely disgusted with Bob Manning and council over their failed attempt to sack library staff. Where is the compassion and leadership we need from our council during this stressful time?

Carol, Whitfield

With the school Easter holidays coming up and the coronavirus here families with kids will get bored. So instead of the kids sitting in front of the TV I have an idea that might help stop the boredom. For the 2-6 year olds why not get them into board games, Lego, Play-Doh and for kids ages 7 and up you could try card games like the Pokemon card game. You could also try Table Top games like the Warhammer series of Table Top games, Lord of the Rings games or Dungeons and Dragons Table Top games. These are a few examples of things to do over the Easter holidays. Take care and stay safe.

The piles of dead from COVID-19 have not occurred as predicted. Yet. However our governments are now drunk on power and hysteria. They’re all in. They’ve literally bet the country. There’s no going back now. They’ve destroyed our country and way of life. How do they walk it all back if experts were wrong? Can they stop, walk away and save face? Right now they can’t and that makes them very dangerous.

Ric, Brinsmead

BJ, Atherton (CP, 26/03). I suggested election be postponed not cancelled. Holly, Freshwater

Greta Thunberg claims she’s just recovered from COVID-19 after her two-week tour of Europe. I wonder how many elderly far-left climate alarmists became infected as they fawned over her?

Woz, Parramatta

As someone who accesses both mainstream media and alternative media I first heard of the unusual flu in Wuhan in midJanuary. Therefore I’d expect our lavishlypaid senior officials to have heard about it then, too. So why is our government so woefully underprepared? High-ranking heads must roll when this pandemic is over.
