Musos hit right note in lockdown

TWO Innisfail musicians are doing their part to help people out during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Despite having months of gigs and tours cancelled or postponed due to the pandemic, Robert Cini and Talitha Jae have been streaming live performances many times every week since restrictions began from their garage in Innisfail, providing not only entertainment, but a welcome distraction and some meaningful songs during this difficult time.

Both Cini and Jae are established singer/songwriters around the region with Cini launching his debut album Imaginary Fun in Innisfail late last year.

Cini said he was due to take the album on a tour down the east coast this year but that has all had to be put on hold due to the pandemic.

And that’s not all that’s been put on hold.

Like many other artists, both Cini and Jae have had many gigs cancelled leading to a substantial loss of income – but they haven’t let that get in the way of doing what they love.

“The response has been overwhelming to say the least, with viewing audiences in the thousands and from all parts of the world,” Cini said.

There are three streams every week.

Jae streams every Thursday at 4.30pm for “Afternoon T Time” on her page Facebook.com/TalithaJaeMusic. Then on Friday at 8pm, head over to Cini’s page Facebook.com/RobertCiniMusic to catch his stream “Recharge in the Garage”.

And on Saturdays head over to their duo page Facebook.com/SunsetSerenadeMusic to catch the pair performing some great covers at 8pm.
